SEBEHK  Both Celestia and Stellarium are free, and offer basically the same features as Equinox.

RONALD PRICE  I'm not 100% certain but I don't think either Celestia or Stellarium can control the nice Meade telescope I got for Christmas. To be fair, I'm not 100% certain Equinox will either as I have not actually tried this claimed functionality yet, but at least this is a listed feature. Now that the weather is nice (and my work schedule has become less debilitating) I plan to see what Equinox can do.

Don't get me wrong, Celestia and Stellarium are fine for what they do but they solve different problems than Equinox.

SPLUNK23  I'm curious how this is different from the free "Celestia." Is it worth the $50?

THOMAS MCGRATH III  All I can say is that I love this program. I set up voice control for Telescope view and Solar System view, etc. and most impressive was voice control for Night Vision Mode which impressed me and really impresses friends as my screen turns red on command. I own Starynight Backyard and I like it but the Telescope control in Starynight is a bit rough compared to MPJ Equinox. What a great product and well worth the $29.00 . Thank you MPj.
