AIKOUSHA  Awesome idea. I'm surprised this hasn't surfaced much earlier.

It would be great if it could support previous architecture and OS versions, but I don't know if that's even possible. Now, if it could also add mirroring of the Dock it'd be a perfect little app. ^_^

SPARROWHAWK  TIPP FLO pointed me in the direction of this app. I'd been hoping something like this would come along for ages now, and frankly shame on Apple for not providing it themselves.

Although it is not as pretty as the OS X native menu bar, I really don't care - it works! My sincere thanks to the developer.

One small niggle: when maximizing a window on the secondary monitor, SecondBar pushes it down below the new menu bar (good) but does not reduce the window height sufficiently so that the resize handle is partially hidden.

DRDUL  Promising app. I found it works better if the secondary monitor is on the right, as the menu items will then be close to the centre of the dual-monitor setup, and easier to reach from either monitor.

I ended up uninstalling it, however, as it doesn't (yet) do anything more for me than Deja Menu does, while taking up real estate on my screen to do so. Currently, SecondBar only replicates the menu items from the left half of the menubar. For whatever reason, it is not possible to replicate the items from the right half of the menubar. So most of SecondBar ends up empty.

If the dev can add some options to display information on the right side of the bar, then I wouldn't mind giving up that extra bit of screen space to run SecondBar. If there were enough useful options, I'd happily pay for it, too.

JESUGURU  Simple, fantastic. Does exactly what it's supposed to, no more or less (although adding customization options in the future would be a welcome bonus).

PHILLMAN5  I really want to use this app. When I double click it nothing happens.

Why is it an universal app but then requires 10.6?

****.

LEMERLOT  Found a hint to SecondBar on Lifehacker.com and installed it immediately. As an early stage version it works pretty well and I'm looking forward to its further development.

USERZ2K  For a long time looking for something like that. I like it, but it is not compatible with Adobe products (photoshop, illustrator and others) - when maximizing the window goes below the bar.

RJMORITA  This is something that I've always wanted. It took a little while to figure out how to display the configuration menu but other than that, it works. The best part is that it's free.

TVALLEAU  Wow. Very impressive first release. Looks pretty good too. (Yes, it's not a perfect clone, but it isn't ugly either. Living with it isn't hard... but it does take some getting used to having a second bar available. First thought is, of course, instead of just (or only) mirroring the main menu bar, is there some way to customize it with other utilities, menus etc?

All in all, a great start, IMHO.

THEALXNDR  The application needs a little more polishing & smoothing but other than that i think

it's very promising and quite useful when using a second monitor.

Oh! and it's free :D
