PX9-855 Proceed with extreme caution in using CleanMyMac. Especially if you're using Adobe or any other similar large apps, i.e. forced reinstalling is not fun. This "utility" has the potential to turn your Mac into FUBAR with ease. Not to mention Windows -like activation... (Version 1.9.2)

We're sorry for the difficulties you have faced, however, the rare problems with Adobe are now being fixed and the forthcoming update will resolve all of those. Moreover, the problem is not because the apps are 'large' or 'similar' to some other apps, it does not matter at all. The possible issues with Adobe products are quite distinctive and other apps do not suffer from that. Speaking about our activation, it has absolutely nothing Windowish in it. The license is tied to your short username and this scheme cannot be applied on Windows in any way at all. We tried to make the activation as easy as possible and to make sure that a Lifetime user will never lose his license even if he reinstalls the OS or replaces his Mac. We do appreciate if you provide us with some suggestions on product improvements and we have a special Wish List for that in the Support area of our site. However, even at this point CleanMyMac is a stable and reliable product with all the aids included to resolve any possible difficulties. (Version 1.9.2)

NINJA BOY My system operations & internet slowed to a crawl. CLeanMyMac found a whole pile of junk floating around in the system including start-up items unknown to me that never appeared on my Log-in items list. It also found small plist and/or other bits of junk old apps that other uninstaller apps could not find. A scan and clean restored my MacBook Pro to its former glory. Great app and essential to any user. (Version 1.9.2)

MACLOVER1.1 This app seems to get better and better at finding leftovers etc.. Have been using it pretty much since it came out and never had any problems with it (so not sure what caused Bordsenius below all this havoc). I always keep my 2 Macs in shape with basic system checks with Mainmenu and bigger checkups/Desktop reconstruction etc.. with TechToolPro.. and only then do I use Cleanmymac. I use it to remove all languages from my apps except for English and for "streamlining" binaries, cleaning up system junk, leftovers etc.. I just make sure to leave Adobe stuff alone.. and everything works perfectly. (Version 1.9.2)

BORDSENIUS Just bought it - and I'm waiting for time-machine to restore my mac from the last backup before I used CleanMyMac. . It completely destroyed most of the applications, removed most fonts (all text in iTunes war represented as squares..) and rendered my iPhone unable to sync. When I get the machine back on line I'll ask for a refund, as it does not work at all and crippled my mac.Unfortunately there is no way to get back the hours I have spendt cleaning up after CleanMyMac (pun intended) I used all standard settings, I would not recommend this to anyone. Unfortunately it did not crash when it deleted my files, so full score on stability! (Version 1.9.1)

BORDSENIUS Thankfully I got a refund within 24 hours. So thumbs up for that. But I'm not sure I would recommend it yet. (Version 1.9.1)

ORION MK. V Very nice UI, though a bit too easy for novices to pick dangerous settings and apply them -- such as removing languages and binaries. Used with more caution though, this app is great for non-command line folks. There are other apps that do most of the same (some for free), but this is a nice friendly app that does many things well. For instance, I was able to clean up some stray startup files that were left over from uninstalling some older apps that I mistakenly hadn't used their own uninstaller on. No other tool could see/remove (at least none I tried) these files that were still active in my console. Nice. (Version 1.9.1)

MCYERMIK I use this all-in-one app for more than 1.5 years. It does exactly what it says and performs well for me. Fast, rock-solid and effective enough for keeping my Mac running smoothly, clean and healthy. Thumbs up devs. (Version 1.9.0)

PUKKY This new version has a lot of improvements and all localisation bugs that I noticed in Italian localisation have been fixed. The new versiona is for me a little bit faster, and the interface is very cool. It's the best cleaning Mac utility (for me). I waiting the version 2! (Version 1.9.0)

RAYCON What I'd really like to see is the ability to ignore files that go to the trash when applications are updated using Sparkle. I do not want to trash everything connected to the deleted version of the app, just the outdated app. (Version 1.9.0)

CHIEFTED New version but the same old conoodling by the developer for 5 star ratings...look if there are spelling mistakes in the GUI what does that say about the code behind it. (Version 1.9.0)

MDAVIS Hey, I'm a developer too, and while I don't particularly like this app (besides the fact that's it's competition) I I think it's silly when people suggest that 5-star reviews are fake. Give the dev the benefit of the doubt. Also, while I get what you're saying about spelling errores implying something about internals, I also disagree. To most programmers, spelling just isn't the first thing on their mind. The change I've seen in the Mac community towards this type of behavior is quite odd. I'm not sure what's caused it. Maybe it's all the Windowz users switching or something. (Version 1.9.2)
