DESCRIPTION
iWork Dock is one application in a series of applications I am making to reduce Dock clutter and use very small applications to take the place of many others. These applications are normally around a 100 kb, and use 0 CPU when they are open and idle. To use them you can right click on the icon in the dock and you will see a custom dock menu listing a series of applications you can launch from there.

Making these applications from the feedback I get takes time, I do this as a hobby. If you enjoy using the software, and would like to see them kept up to date and more, and you would like to donate a few dollars to keep them coming please contact me via email.

This one is specifically for Apple's iWork Application Suite. If you want to see some more of these type please email me and give me an idea of some of the applications you would like to see supported.

::MILE::  Nice idea, here's one more suggestion (for all the "...Dock" apps) though: It would be better to "hide" the app from showing in the main menu and/or application siwtcher and just have it in the dock...!? If that's possible...kind of like Twitterific does or so...?!

SAMM  I have inquired with apple and a few cocoa developers, and the answer I am getting about that is that you cannot have it in the dock and not appear in the application switcher (command tab) or in the menubar, this is unfortunate, because I was hoping to implement that into all of them.

DARKENTRIES  LiteSwitch X by Proteron is an excellent replacement application switcher. It allows you to exclude applications from it, even if they do show in the dock. Looks like MacUpdate has a special deal on it for the time being.

ZEPHYRSTARFIELDS  I like it. Two suggestions.

1) New icon. Perhaps a melding of the Pages, Keynote, and Numbers icons instead of an image of the box (makes it hard to discern and creates a jarring contrast to the other icons in the dock).

2) If possible, it'd be nice to make it so that if you open an app with the launcher it will switch to the app just launched if you don't go selecting other apps, but if you click on Safari or Mail after Pages, then Pages opens in the background. This is more similar to the way Apple applications open, now.

Also, iLife version would be awesome, as well. This is a brilliant idea and an excellent way to reduce clutter for commonly used (but not THAT commonly used) apps.

SAMM  Currently when you launch an application from iWork Dock or Office Dock, they will be brought to the front, but in cases such as the Microsoft office applications where you have to wait for them to launch completely, so if you do click on safari, to look something up or mail, to check your mail while you wait, when to are ready to go back to pages or whatever, you can either command tab to it, or go to the iWork Dock icon, then do the same thing as if you were going to launch Pages, but instead of launching it again it will bring it to the front.

ME2  Very nice and good idea. There maybe other ways to develop these, but, on a lazy beautiful July 4th, I appreciate Sam's ability and work. Thank you.
