MLB Schedule widget is a simple Dashboard widget which provides a small glimpse at the course of any Major League Baseball team's schedule.
You can choose your favorite baseball team and the widget will display a five day range of both completed and upcoming games, providing information such as opponent, projected starters, TV channel, start time, game result, game score, winning pitcher and losing pitcher. You can even choose your time zone, to adjust the game start times.
RONALD PRICE Assuming it is even possible, are there any plans to port MLB Schedule and or MLB Standings to the iPhone and/or iPod Touch? Just seems like a natural, pardon the pun. (Version 2.4)
SUBSEA Still doesn’t work through a corporate firewall requiring password authentication. Error message says it can’t find a network connection. Works fine with a direct connection to the web. (Version 1.5)
LOGANROCKMORE This seems to have been a problem with the days on which there's no game. I've fixed the small error and updated the widget to 1.5. Hopefully that works for you.

WJB3WVU Just what I needed! Thank you. (Version 1.4)
KENPRESLEY BTW, folks, the actual author (Logan Rockmore) also responded and thanked us for the work-around info. Also, I just received a courteous reply from Mesa Dynamics support and they thanked us also and said they should be easily able to release an update to Amnesty Singles to permanently address this issue. Many thanks to all who were so courteous with their support. Now, off to bed!! (Version 1.3)
Sir, you are a scholar and a gentleman! Your terminal command line magic did indeed work (on both MLB Schedule and MLB Standings). For interested others note that I did have to slightly modify the command line to include quote characters around the widgets name (i.e. "MLB Schedule") for the command to work. (I am probably using a different shell or something from the author). After your terminal AppleClasses embedding magic I just built it again with Amnesty Singles and all is great. Baseball fans rejoice! (See the author's replies to my original questions).
Thank you so much for your courteous and quick support information!! (Version 1.3)
KENPRESLEY Nice widgets. But does anyone (developer?) know why they don't work with Amnesty Singles as standalone apps. (The info button is invisible so there is no way to change the team selection, etc.). Thanks in advance.
ANDREAS AMANN This is a problem with Amnesty Singles - none of the widgets that are deployed with a requirement of 10.4.3 or higher and use the AppleClasses work with Amnesty Singles (as they don't resolve the path to the system includes properly - one of them being the infobutton script).
I told them about that a while ago but they don't seem to be inclined to fix it (they just put 10.4.3+ widgets they know about on the list of "known problems") - I suggest that more people let them know about the problem (which will get worse once DashCode is officially released) and ask them to fix it. KENPRESLEY I thought it was probably an Amnesty Singles problem. Thanks so much for the quick reply! (Version 1.3)

ANDREAS AMANN Here is how you can make it work with Amnesty Singles (assuming that you are actually running 10.4.3 or higher):
* download a fresh copy of the widget to your Desktop - you should now have "MLB Schedule" on your Desktop with a generic widget icon
* open the Terminal (/Applications/Utilities/Terminal)

ANDREAS AMANN Yes - my bad about the missing quotes... Alternatively you could precede all spaces by a "\" character (I created the link from the widget's directory itself so I didn't actually have to add the path to it when I tested).
Oh, and I am not actually the author of the MLB widgets - it just happens that my widget suffers from the same problem when used with Amnesty singles. (Version 1.3)

LOGANROCKMORE Hey guys. I just wanted to chime in and say that I was glad that you found a solution to getting the widgets to work with Amnesty. If anyone asks me about this, I'm now armed with the knowledge to fix it. Thanks!

KENPRESLEY Hi Logan. Glad we could help! Sorry about my "developer confusion". Great baseball widgets. BTW, I have reported this and am having a discussion with Amnesty Singles support. (Version 1.3)

SUBSEA Doesn’t seem to work through a proxy server. Gives message: “error, there is no network connection available.” Other widgets don’t have this problem. (Version 1.2)
