  • Fixed a rare crash with .mp4 [r1265]
  • No error was shown if the installer somehow failed [r1270] Note that it does not try to correct errors, only report them.

ALBABE  Just a Note:

I had Version 1.2 installed and when I tried to update it from my System Prefs Panel it said it was up to date.

I D/Led this newer version and it confirmed that my installed version was older, even though it said it was up to date when I used the Update button.

So don't trust the "Check For Updates" function within the Perian System Prefs Panel.

ANONSUPPORT  FLAC should not be a problem, because the decoder is free and well documented.

RUBAIYAT  Can you suggest a neater way of converting FLAC and APE?

Currently I must jump a few hoops with Toast and Max.

DSPENCER3491  Would be fantastic if it also included support for wma files so I wouldn't have to use the flip4mac plug-in in addition to this but overall this is the best quicktime plugin out there.

SPRINGHEELMAC  I second that! The latest Flip4Mac will occasionally slow my playback down, so I had to downgrade.

STEEPS PATRICK  Fantastic plugin for QT. I just love it. It enables me to play almost every codec with QT.

Although I am afraid it uses several illegal codecs (ffmpeg does) it is nice to have it anyway. :)

HIPPEMAN  Awesome utility! Updated to v.1.2.1 via button in preference pane, but after installing my System Preferences crashed immediately. It seems to work though..

JULIFOS  What! Indeo 5 decoding? I've been waiting for years for this feature! I have some tiny videos I downloaded at 1kb/s long time ago. They must be crap-quality, but now I will be able to watch them ;-)
