ANTH The price listed of $59.00 is completely wrong. Lasersoft's website lists the cost as $208. It's not even the upgrade price which I have been trying to determine. Several days ago their web store quoted $70 and now it quotes $105. Their upgrade web page lists yet more prices.
While I have successfully used Silverfast to scan negatives and it does have some good features (HiRePP is great). I personally don't believe the new features warrant such a high price. Auto Frame Detection does not work with the scanning of negatives, Multiple Exposure does not benefit scans of negatives, only two new negafix profiles were added, and the AI-HDR optimization seems more like a bugfix. The colorcast removal feature added to negafix is nice, but it is only a checkbox and its intensity cannot be adjusted.
