DESCRIPTION
FileChute... How many times have you tried to email a large file only to have it bounced? There is an easier way to send large files and you have just found it.

FileChute makes sending files easy. Just drag a file and drop it on FileChute. FileChute puts the file on your MobileMe account and generates a web link for retrieving the file all in one step. Next drag the generated link into your email and you're set to go. And since what you're sending is just a link, your recipients can retrieve the file from a Mac, a PC or any other platform. You can even drop multiple files or folders at once. FileChute automatically creates an archive in the format of your choice - it supports dmg, zip and tar - and sends the archive file.

FileChute works best with a MobileMe account, configuration is super easy. But since not everyone has a MobileMe account, FileChute also works great with other FTP or WebDAV-accessible web server. Perform the one-time set up by following the built-in Help. Once it is properly set up, FileChute works just as perfectly with non-MobileMe servers.

CHRISTOPHER  Awesome tool! At first I thought: I'm tech-savvy. Why would I use this instead of my trusty FTP app? Answer: It is much faster to upload and much easier to copy the link (or short URL!) and paste into an email for clients to access. 30 seconds from Drop to Send.

It even automatically "expires" the files after a selectable number of days. Killer.

IMRMUCKLE  One of the "MUST HAVE" Applications that a MAC User/MobileMe can own. I can't live without it. It has never failed me with Bugs or Crashes. I LOVE it.

JASONSTOGZ  Wow, this program is a great answer to transferring large files quickly. Before, I was uploading to idisk, then logging into mobile me, locating the file and using the share button. I love cutting out steps!

FDOG  This plus the iPhone helper app are fantastic tools for quick FTP blasts. This is now the fastest way to distribute rehearsal recordings and scores to my choir and orchestra. I love that I can view my uploaded files on my iPhone and email links directly.

SOURCECHILD  I have redundant cloud services and several assorted folders for each client I work with. This is a solution that allows me to address all of them without spending too much time having to think. The only thing that could possibly be missing is the ability to simultaneously upload to several clouds at once. Otherwise, it works great.

LOVEMYMACS  Easy to review because it's one of my essential apps. I constantly send audio files to clients - this couldn't be better. Support is outstanding, functionality is robust and completely dependable. I have it integrated with Mobile Me, haven't tried other server personally even though I have one cause it worked so well - with Mobile Me it integrated instantly. I believe it would be almost as easy to set up another kind of server situation. I haven't had a single problem and I've sent a lot of files and continue to do so. Tried other solutions but this put an end to that... I'd suggest that you get it and use it if you ever send large files or if you have a lot of different files you regularly send. I am able to keep a very large catalogue of files ready to send in any number or combination within moments to anyone by using either my laptop or my iphone. Couldn't be easier or more dependable. I don't have any personal involvement with this application other than as a happy user. I was using the short URL option but I realize that the sites that are used to create the short URL's come and go and I want people to continue to have access to the files if they want so I've stopped shortening them. Doesn't really matter because it is simply a download link. This application is suitable for professional and constant use.
