MAIJA Although I've had this mac for going on two years, I still feel rather overwhelmed and lost. It's now begun to be quite sluggish and the icon/symbol that shows it's busy working is popping up regularly now... even when I have only one thing on the go. I've wondered about viruses. *shrug* So today I started reading to find answers. Since there is nothing called "system tools", people have told me I need do nothing. My own research now tells me different stories. I deleted almost all languages and widgets and stuff like that. Then I came across articles that talk about onyX. Since I am running 10.5.8 I tried to download the appropriate version of onyx. When clicking on that link a window pops up asking if I wish to download it. I click yes to "save" and wait... Nothing happens! I did it twice. Then I thought to look into my "downloads". I found the two onyx' that I downloaded. I clicked on it and a mini window came up to show me the file was being opened and verified. Then.... nothing! What am I doing wrong? (Version 2.1.4) |
