SMTIPS  Well I just discovered after using it for a few days that the search field on the upper right, which I rely on heavily, DOES NOT WORK. Tried changing search engines there, still nothing. Can't hit return, can't click the button to search...when I do nothing at all happens. I can change pages fine and that...but that search is broken.

JUNK...to screw up such a staple tool in a browser is simply unacceptable and inexcusable. This was a "trial run" for me after refusing to use firefox in well over a year because of a lot of page issues. Well...back to using the last version of Navigator since I hate Safari.

MAC MAIL  All version 3 are bad, even the look is so bad. I don't find that is any faster or better at all.

Anyone who wants to use FireFox, use the Version 2. The latest version 2 is 2.0.0.17

FYREFLYE  No issues, better than ever; it even renders the MacUpdate pages correctly now. With 3.02 Firefox has become my default browser again. OS 10.4.11

JMH1  Problems I have with Firefox

1. Downloads from emails (for example, PDFs) are non-functional and broken up into dozens of parts.

2. Web archives broken into separate files and folders while the AllFiles option results in pages that do not render properly (i.e. text and html overlaps... pages do not auto-adjust).

3. Firefox often forgets Preferences settings such as HomePage, and Privacy settings.

4. Configuration of settings is cumbersome.

User Freindly Safari:

1. Downloads fully functional and intact files.

2. Creates fully functional Web Archives.

3. Remembers settings _And_ is easily configured or even fully Reset

with a minimum preference searching and clicking.

JAN13  WOW ! This new 3.0.2 version ROCKS ! On Power Book 17” as well as on G5 Macs. I am pleased with responsiveness and quick page load. Over all stability is just putting a cherry on cake !

I am very impressed so I made it as default browser. Great Job folks.

Cheers.

DESTERWALLABOO  Have you tried the nightly builds of WebKit?.... I've been using them as my main browser for well over a year without a hiccup. The current builds are much faster than Firefox 3.0.2

JMH1  Having similar issues.

After crashes do you get a Send to Apple report?

I have noticed that the crash logs have numerous references to Flash

and Javascript.

While I think certain Flash versions might have there own issues as well...is your system Flash and Java up to date?

GUILLAUMEK  FX 3 is clean and stable for most people. You should try with a fresh profile (/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles).

MAC MAIL  For many times I've tried to use this version 3 or 3.0.1 but I just can't. or maybe I should say, "I won't". As long as this version is running, my Mac won't go to sleep.

I stay at 2.0.0.16

KPS  Crashes consistently any time I try to print to PDF on an iMac 2.16 ghz, 10.4.11. Am able to repeat the crash by selecting "Print" then choosing "Save as PDF" for any web page. Have also experienced other occasional crashes that are unexplained. Obviously 3.0.1 is unstable. I have reverted to 2.0.0.16 and no crashes.
